You will notice that cranberries are starting to go on sale as the season is nearing an end. If you buy your cranberries now, you can get a pretty good deal on them and then not have to pay full retail price later.
1. Purchase whole cranberries that are firm and not wrinkled.
2. Remove any stems that are attached, wash well and drain.
3. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
4. Freeze whole cranberries is just as they are. You don’t need to cook them!
To avoid the cranberries freezing in one large clump, freeze them on a cookie sheet first, and then transfer them to a freezer bag or container. This makes them much easier to use when you need them!
