I recently came across a site called GiveBack.org. GiveBack has set up an easy, organized (and free) way to manage your charitable giving. Which means only one receipt at tax time.
I looked up charities in Lancaster, PA and surrounding areas, and many are available. Some that may be of interest to you are:
- Lancaster Public Library
- Lancaster Habitat for Humanity
- Lancaster Mennonite School
- Lancaster Bible College
- Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Lancaster Symphony Orchestra
- Sertoma International
- Liberty Fire Company of New Holland
- Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster
- Lancaster YMCA
- Children’s Museum of Lancaster
- Mennonite Central Committee
- Boy Scouts of America
- Global Aid Network
- Ten Thousand Villages
To get started:
1. Sign up to create your own foundation and get an automatic $5 credit.
2. Make donations online to any IRS registered charity.
3. Or earn credit from online purchases to give to one of your charities.
4. 100% of your donations and credits goes to the charities, since the site is funded by sponsors!
It’s that easy! And a fantastic way to give back with some of your frugal savings!
