Libraries offer a lot of FREE (or very inexpensive) activities and opportunities. Plus, they are typically very educational for the whole family, and have programs for all ages from infant to senior citizen.
The Lancaster and Ephrata libraries have a fantastic schedule of events and programs, which I will be featuring over the next couple of weeks.
On January 1st, the Ephrata library will start a new service that is not available anywhere else in the county! It’s called Universal Class and it will allow library patrons to have access to over 550 online classes about everything from Microbiology to Yoga. Need help learning Excel 2007? They have a class for that. Looking for supplemental homeschooling classes? They have those, too. Need to get Continuing Education Credits for your job. They have classes for that! Check out Universal Class at www.universalclass.com to see all the options.
How it works:
1. Come to the library and sign up for the service. You will be given a login and password.
2. Access Universal Class from the link on the library’s website.
3. Enroll in any class you’d like. You can take up to 5 classes at a time.
4. LEARN!
Visit the Ephrata Library website for more information.
