Mapping Out the Scenarios You Want To Do
If you are like me, this can take a lot of time. I am pretty precise and detailed when I do this.
I need to make sure it will work, before I go to the store and do it. I’m not as good at thinking on the spot and under pressure, while I am in the store. That is why I also take the time to have at least one backup plan for each trip. More on this later.
I also entered the drugstore game with the intention to spend as little money as possible, while getting as much as I could. Therefore, I tried to buy things for the lowest payout and highest UPR or SCR return.
In addition, I tried to only use the UPR that I had, so that with each purchase, I never spent more than $1.00.
A great example of this was my 11/26 purchase. I got all of the following:
2 boxes of Rice Krispies
4 boxes of Kleenexes
1 Cottonelle 4 pack toilet paper
2 Cottonelle Moist Wipes
1 Secret Deodorant
1 Old Spice Deodorant
1 Nyquill Sinus
PAID: $0.64
Coupons used: $26.49
UPRs used: $9.99
Watch for my next post here on Frugal Lancaster, when I will explain how to have an effective backup plan.
