Energy Star Appliances use 10-50% less energy
If your New Year’s Resolution is to find ways to lower your utility bill each month, you may want to check your older appliances and see which ones could be replaced with energy star models to save you money.
First consider your larger appliances and the ones that are used most often.
Energy Star Model Statistics:
– Refrigerators use 20% less energy than required by current federal standards, and 40% less than any model from before 2001.
– Dishwashers use 41% less than federal standards, and much less hot water than conventional models.
– Washers use 40% less energy and up to 60% less water.
– Air conditioners use 10% less energy than a conventional model.
