I posted this earlier this year, but I thought I’d post it again since we have a lot of new readers and people are always having birthdays! Please also view the entire list of birthday clubs which can also be found under the Beginners tab menu, and then under Tips & Tidbits.
One tip of advice: Sign up for these birthday clubs at least 1-2 months before or after your birthday. Many of them will also email you special coupons on the anniversary of your account. Since eating out does usually cost money, you might find it more fun to get those coupons at different times of the year, rather than all at once and being tempted to eat out too often!
10. Sephora (Park City Mall)
Sign up as a Beauty Insider and get a FREE gift from Sephora on your birthday. This is completely free, no purchase required, AND it is great to get a birthday freebie that isn’t food or a sweet every once in awhile!
9. Shady Maple Smorgasboard (East Earl)
Get a FREE buffet if you visit with a paying adult. I had to include this on the list because it is a long-time tradition. We definitely don’t go every year, but when we can, we like to make it a special treat. We often go for breakfast, when it’s cheaper for the paying person. 🙂
8. Moe’s Southwest Grill (Reading, and Harrisburg)
You can get a FREE Moe’s entree (excludes fajitas) on your birthday when you choose to “stay in the moe.” This is a cute little place that a friend introduced me to a couple of years ago now. An excellent place to try out if you’ve never been there before.
7. On the Border (Reading)
I love Mexican food and On the Border’s Club Cantina will give you a FREE appetizer on your birthday. Plus, when you initially join you will get an instant coupon for a free bowl of queso or empanadas.
6. CVS Beauty Club
I definitely can’t complain about FREE store credit, and with the CVS Beauty Club you get a free $3 ECB on your birthday, which you can use on anything in the store!
5. Orange Julius (Berkshire Mall, Reading, PA)
I love smoothies, and because there are not many Orange Julius’s around, one of theirs is a special treat! Get a FREE smoothie or other special drink.
4. Cold Stone Creamery (Park City Mall, and Reading)
This is on my list of favorites this year for two reasons. I had their ice cream for the first time about a year ago, and since I have had to eliminate dairy from my diet for the past year because of my son, I am super-excited to get a free ice cream creation!
3. Esbenshades Greenhouses
Gardening has become a new hobby and love of mine over the past couple years. This is a nice change up from free food, an Esbenshades FREE plant (winter birthdays will get their email in the spring.)
2. Panera Bread (Lancaster, and Reading)
An all-time favorite place of mine. I love that they started offering a MyPanera card this year! You get a FREE pastry when you sign up, and I just got an email saying I got another FREE pastry or sweet good for 60 days, loaded on my Panera Rewards card for my birthday. It’s good for so long that I can really stretch my birthday celebration out!!
1. Isaac’s Restaurant and Deli
Not only is this a wonderful local place for creative sandwiches, but they have my all-time favorite dessert on their menu! I use this coupon for any dessert for FREE every year, and I talk about it all year long too, just ask my husband! If you haven’t tried it, and especially if you are a cheesecake, brownie, and ice cream lover—you definitely have to sign up for this birthday freebie and get the Toucan Brownie Nest al-a-mode!

I signed up for Isaac’s…didn’t know they had a club. On a side note- the Coldstone at Park City closed this summer. 🙁 I was bummed because it was right before my birthday and so I totally missed out on my birthday treat.

Meant to add too that if you join Maggie Moo’s Email Club and you’ll get a coupon for a free Kid’s sized ice cream creation. Their ice cream reminds me a lot of Coldstone’s.
