Here is an example of why I do my grocery shopping later in the week.
I can compare prices and deals with all stores – including prices I find in the Shopping News that I do not receive until Wednesday morning at my house.
Today I saw in the Shopping News that Glennwood Foods has butter on sale for $1.89. I remembered that the magnet flyer I got from Family Owned Markets this week has a coupon for butter at $1.98.
Now, this is only a difference of $.09, so in this case it’s probably not worth my time to make a special trip to Glennwood. But, if there are enough other deals (grapes are only $.99/lb, and a 3lb bag of apples is $1.79 at Glennwood this week too), I may consider going there instead of getting my butter at Martin’s or Yoder’s.
