This October I will be participating in the Frugal Photo Friday challenge with MoneySavingMom.com and Simply Rebekah. I will be sharing simple photos that demonstrate ways to save money.
It is time to start celebrating simple savings!
This week’s topic is Home Decor. We don’t have a fancy house or awesome decorations. We keep things simple and useful. My favorite simple trick is to use one wreath and change the decorations on it seasonly. It is incredibly inexpensive (you can get wreath picks and decorations at places like ACMoore for $.50 or less, even before they are clearanced!).
It’s incredibly easy from year to year. Things that don’t take much time are crucial when you have little kids to be taken care of.
And it doesn’t take up much storage!
I also use decorate baskets (that I find at yard sales for $1 or less) around the house, to keep our odd and ends items in. Like this one near the door to collect things that we don’t want to forget to do that week. We aren’t naturally organized people in our house, so this helps with clutter as well!
Next week the topic will be, anything goes! Stay tuned . . .
