I never knew there was a playground right around the corner from my pediatrician’s office until I made this playground map of Lancaster County!
How many times were you out on an errand, and you needed an emergency playground? We’ve often been out and wanted to enjoy a quick spur of the moment picnic or snack, while we wait for something else.
This map will help you find a playground wherever you are. It’s on Google, so you can bring it up on your phone, and find directions quickly. Click on a balloon, and most playgrounds also have listed what is available including ball fields and open areas.
Here’s a list of some of the more popular playgrounds in Lancaster County, that you’ll find on the above playground map.
Have you been to the Daniel’s Den Playground in Lancaster, located next to Manor Church? It’s part of the Manor Church Community Park—open to the public—which includes a half mile walking trail, sports fields and the fully accessible Daniel’s Den Playground.
Have you heard of the new Amos Herr Dream Park & Playground in Landisville, PA? The park just opened in October 2016. It’s created with a child’s imagination in mind and full of unique and exciting play areas for kids of all ages! You won’t want to miss this hidden secret in Lancaster County.
Ephrata Area Playground Photo Guide
I remember when I had my first child, I was amazed at how many playgrounds were in the Ephrata area. I always hate it when you get to a park and you need a baby swing, but there is none there. With this photo guide I have compiled, you can quickly see what is at each park!
If you love the Long’s Park Summer Music Series you might be excited to hear that they removed the wooden playground and replaced it with this brand new playground in 2018. As much as I love wooden playgrounds, I will admit this new playground has some pretty unique features worth checking out!

There’s a good one near Bowmansville called Brubaker Park: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Brubaker+Park,+East+Earl,+PA+17519/@40.1793211,-76.0445927,16z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c66b717a5c1979:0x0d85a1d97ef729a6!8m2!3d40.1767768!4d-76.0475323

There is one in Strasburg, the Jaycee park, off of the main street before you get the center of town.
Kathy says
Thank you! I tried to find that one and mark it but for some reason I wasn’t certain on the map and I didn’t want to mark it wrong. I will check again and add it now. Thanks so much for helping to make this map complete!!!
Kathy says
Ok it is added now! I guess there are two Jaycee Parks in Lancaster County . . . one is not in Strasburg, and that’s the one I had on the list. Now they are both there! 😉

Such a fun idea! Some of our favorite parks are in the city – Sixth Ward, Musser, Buchanan, Northwest Corridor, etc. Lancaster Community Park also has a cute playground. I was also surprised you didn’t include Long’s Park, as they have a variety of playgrounds.
Kathy says
Yes, I have a list of those, and I need to add those next. Hopefully I’ll be done them tonight sometime.

Hello, have you found any enclosed or completely fenced in playgrounds
Kathy says
Yes! A lot of the wooden parks are often fenced in, I know Roland Park in Akron is, as well as New Holland Park. That’s a good idea for a new post! I will have to do some research and get that posted. Those are the ones that I thought of off the top of my head. Hope it helps you!
Rasa says
That would be a great post!
