Sometimes I marvel over how awesome God is that He planned it for young moms today to have such inspiring moms who went ahead of us. And that He would use social media to connect them to us, encourage us, challenge us and hold us accountable. I am so encouraged to be a young mom with all these incredible resources available to me.
Yesterday I heard about Lisa-Jo Baker’s new Temper ToolKit course that is on sale until February 6, 2017. (If you don’t recognize Lisa-Jo’s name, you might recognize her internationally popular book called Surprised By Motherhood.) I am just loving the topics in the Temper ToolKit course.
Check out the titles of the six sessions in this course.
- The one thing you can stop feeling guilty about right now. We’ll dig into some stories in the Bible to help you drop what I hope is a good few pounds of mother guilt when it comes our struggle with temper.
- Discovering the roots of our anger. It’s impossible to tame a temper that constantly takes you by surprise. Together we’ll trace where our anger comes from and what we can do about it.
- The one simple scheduling trick to help you tame your temper. Busy moms juggle busy schedules. But this is the one thing we usually forget. And it’s the one thing that can make all the difference.
- What to do when parenting feels like a hostage negotiation crisis. Nothing is more exhausting than negotiating with mini dictators. Here’s how I quit that special kind of crazy and took back control of our home.
- Why having a bad day doesn’t make you a bad mom. There’s a simple fact about parenting that is often missed. But it can make or break your perspective on what kind of mom you are growing up to be. We’ll identify and embrace this unique perspective that changes how we see ourselves.
- What to do when your temper has nothing to do with being angry. Anger isn’t the only reason we might lose our tempers. There are other emotions that come disguised as temper. And we need to learn how to recognize them and what to do with them. Especially this one.
- So you lost your temper, what comes next? It’s gonna happen. Because none of us are perfect. It’s what you do next that matters most. And after, “I love you” these might be the most important words we say to our kids.
Don’t they sound like just what we need???
Thank you Lisa-Jo for doing this, being vulnerable and for helping us through our motherhood journey!

If you are not sure if this course if for you . . .
I highly recommend signing up for Lisa-Jo’s FREE PDF Companion Guide. I just downloaded it and watched a quick video of Lisa-Jo sharing a little about kids tempers in her home and how she dealt with it. Let me just say, it was good!
My favorite quote for the video with this FREE Companion Guide was, “It’s more important to be kind, than on time.” And I loved her advice on not letting a grumpy child take the rest of the family hostage.
