Did you know that Royer’s Flowers has over 16 stores in Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin and Franklin counties that offer a fun, free activity several times a year for kids ages 5 to 12?
We first heard about this hands-on program when our oldest was 5 or 6 years old, and we immediately fell in love with it! It’s called Royer’s Kids Club, and every month they get to make a FREE flower bouquet.
Read this entire post to learn how to register your child for each event, when the events are for this year, what they kids club is and how that’s different from the hands-on events, and where all the Royer’s locations are in Lancaster and surrounding counties.
Our Trip to Royer’s Kids Club
Let me start by giving you an idea of what you’ll see and experience at a Royer’s Kids Club event. To do this, we made a video during one of our kids club visits.
In the video you’ll see how children typically start by inserting greens into their vase or container, and then the florist—they are all so friendly!—guides them to include decorations, ribbons, and flowers.
How To Register Your Child for Royer’s Kids Club
With a parent’s permission, children ages 5-12 may register for the kids club online or by visiting any of their stores. Children do not need to sign up for the kids club in order to register for these hands-on flower bouquet events, but I do reccomend taking the time to do it for each child, because they will get a FREE balloon offer on their birthday!
While children DO NEED TO REGISTER for each event, they DO NOT have to be signed up for the kids club in order to participate.
When kids sign up for the club on the Kids Club website, they will receive a membership card, web site activities, an email newsletter, giveaways, contest invitations and notifications on member-only events. Plus of course the special birthday email with an invitation to come in to their nearest store and grab a free balloon!!

Be Intentional with your flowers
Each time we visit the Royer’s Kids Club events, I ask the children who they are going to give their flower bouquet to. Sometimes they of course think of themselves first, or the fall-back answer, they want to give it to Mom!
Nevertheless, I try to make an effort to get them to think about those in need around them. Maybe someone who is sick or hurting. Or someone who is celebrating something in life. As we talk about the lives of our friends and family around us, my goal is to get them to personalize their time and their gift for whoever they choose.
