Lancaster Creative Reuse – Open Craft Table

Do you want your kids to write thank you notes for all of the lovely Christmas Gifts they received this year??!! We’ll make this a fun event by doing it together at the Lancaster Creative Reuse store in their Open Craft Table. The LCR open craft table is a place where kids (or adults!) can create whatever they like from a variety of provided materials. Part of our mission is to inspire creativity through re-use, so we love to see kids using the table.
- $1 per crafter with any size purchase by the adult, or $2/crafter without purchase.
- Make as much as you want, for as long as you want.
- There is one table that can fit 6 or so persons.
- Drop in any time during our open hours. Bring a friend!
Castle Roller Skating – Schools Out Cheap Skate

Lancaster Library Presents: The Man Behind the Curtain
January 3 from 6:30pm – 8pm
Cost: Free
The Man Behind the Curtain is a one man play by Dr. John Newman where on New Year’s Eve, 1908, The Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum announces to his audience that his theatrical production has been cancelled. Since the writer can’t give the audience a show, he gives them the story of how he transformed his fears and failures into the great American fairy tale.
Dr. John Newman’s solo play is suitable for upper elementary and secondary school students and for adults interested in Baum and the creation of The Wizard of Oz.
Admission is free, but seats are limited & registration is required!
Lancaster Archery Academy Friday Morning Coffee Club
January 4 from 9:00am – 11:00am

Few things go together better than coffee and donuts. Add archery into the mix, and you’ve a combination that can’t be beat. Join us Friday mornings from 9:00-11:00AM for free coffee, free donuts, and free range time. No reservations or commitment are necessary. Must be at least 6 years of age. Start your weekend off right by having a strong dose of caffeine, a hefty helping of sugar, and the opportunity to improve your skills with your fellow archers. Space is first come first serve. For large group reservations please call ahead.
Lancaster County Central Park – Animals in Winter
January 4 & January 5 from 10am – 11:30am
Cost: $2.00 per person
Join Naturalist Lisa J. Sanchez for an exploration into the activities of wild animals during the winter season. Some of our local wildlife migrate away from this area and many others do interesting things to survive this time of year. This program will begin inside and continue outside. Please dress for the weather. Register online or call (717) 295-2055 to register by noon on the business day preceding the program.
