I have heard incredible things about the Maryland Science Center and what they offer. We haven’t been there with the kids yet, but its on our bucket list. It’s conveniently located around the harbor from the Baltimore Aquarium.

The Maryland Science Center is offering two special deals right now. The first basically gets you two adult admission tickets for the price of one—you’ll pay just $26 for two adults (including planetarium admission)
If you have several kids its actually better to buy their second deal—a $75 membership pass (it would otherwise cost a family of five $86 to visit the museum). Especially if you plan to travel to the Baltimore Inner Harbor often—which is only about 1.5 hours from Lancaster.
(Also, if you have a Lancaster Science Factory membership, your ATSC pass will get you in to the Maryland Science Center for FREE!)
What you’ll find at the Maryland Science Center
The Maryland Science Center is filled with interactive exhibits including a planetarium and giant screen theater, and live science encounter shows every day. Whether old or young, you’ll enjoy learning about science in new ways.
You’ll find innovative exhibits that demonstrate the wonders of scientific discovery including dinosaur mysteries, follow the blue crab, science & main, and a unique exhibit called Newton’s Alley—the center’s most popular exhibit where you can pull yourself up to the stars in a chair, play a string-less harp, touch a cloud, see sound and more!
The kid’s room is a space dedicated to young children and learning through play. Children can enjoy splashing in water play, dressing up like a turtle, sending messages through tubes and even operating a fish cam!
If you’re family is interested in planets and the solar system, the Life Beyond Earth exhibit will intrigue your curiosity as you explore new discoveries of extreme life on Earth and how they suggest where life might exist on planets and moons in our solar system.
